George Miller, the former CEO of Loretto Hospital, has been indicted for his alleged involvement in a $15 million embezzlement scheme that operated from 2018 to 2021. Ahmed and Suhail have reportedly fled to Dubai, while Heather Bergdahl, the hospital's former chief transformation officer, was arrested before a flight to the same destination. The fraudulent activities included awarding contracts without competitive bidding and submitting fictitious payment requests for goods and services that were never delivered. This scandal follows earlier allegations that the hospital mismanaged COVID-19 vaccinations, prioritizing ineligible individuals connected to hospital executives.
