Madhya Pradesh Launches Infrastructure and Development Initiatives
Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated significant rural development initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, including the launch of the Awas Sakhi Mobile App and 500 kilometers of newly paved roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The event, attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, also saw the inauguration of 100 Community Managed Training Centres across 18 states. Chouhan announced a nationwide survey to include individuals previously omitted from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with a commitment to complete it within six months. He introduced the 'Lakhpati Didi' initiative, aiming to provide financial support to women, with an allocation of ₹100 crore. Furthermore, bank loans totaling ₹150 crore were transferred to self-help groups, along with bonuses for tendu leaf collectors and bamboo beneficiaries. These efforts reflect the government's commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure and empowering local communities.
