Wallingford Woman Arrested Drug Charges After Months-Long Investigation

Brittany Wambolt, 34, of Wallingford, was arrested following a months-long police investigation into her suspected involvement in illegal drug activity. Authorities obtained two arrest warrants and a search warrant for her residence on North Turnpike Road, where narcotics and evidence related to drug sales were seized. Wambolt faces multiple charges, including possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, interfering with an officer, illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on a $120,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on August 14, 2025. The investigation began in the spring after detectives developed probable cause based on information about her alleged drug activities.
