Jo Whiley's Husband Accidentally Kills Family Cat Simba

BBC Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley revealed the heartbreaking accident in which her husband, music executive Steve Morton, unintentionally killed their 14-year-old Bengal cat, Simba, by driving over her. Jo shared her emotional experience during a conversation with fellow Radio 2 host Zoe Ball on their Dig It podcast, explaining that Steve had initially moved Simba to park the car but was unaware she had returned to the driveway. She described the incident as devastating, noting that their family now has three pets instead of four. Jo also recalled Simba's distinctive personality, highlighting her noisy and hungry nature as the 'old lady' of the family. The couple's other pets include another cat, Gingin, a Sproodle dog named Brodie, and a golden retriever called Boosh. Steve Morton is reportedly in a 'world of pain' over the accident, which Jo acknowledged is a sadly common event but nonetheless deeply painful for their family.
