Myles Rowe Makes Historic Indy NXT Victory

Myles Rowe made history by becoming the first Black driver to win an Indy NXT Series race, achieving this at Iowa Speedway with a dramatic late-race pass over series leader Dennis Hauger. Rowe is currently the only Black driver in IndyCar or its developmental series, and has previously won a USF2000 race in 2021 and the USF Pro 2000 championship in 2023. He competes as part of Penske Entertainment's Race for Equality & Change and Force Indy initiatives to promote diversity. Rowe credited Lewis Hamilton as an inspiration and expressed pride in representing underrepresented communities, emphasizing the importance of visibility for aspiring minority drivers. The race featured 130 on-track passes and notable drama, including a penalty for another driver following contact with Rowe. Rowe stated his ambition to secure more victories and move up to IndyCar.
