Sky Arts Awards Announce Diverse British Irish Nominees

The 2025 Sky Arts Awards nominees have been announced, celebrating excellence across a diverse range of artistic disciplines including music, literature, film, television, comedy, dance, theatre, and visual arts. Notable nominees include Charli XCX for her album Brat, Belfast rap trio Kneecap for both their album Fine Art and a biopic about them, and author Sally Rooney for her book Intermezzo. The awards, which evolved from the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, will host their ceremony on September 16 at London's Roundhouse, with Bill Bailey as the host. Other nominees include the Netflix drama Adolescence, BBC’s Mr Loverman, and Disney+’s Rivals in television, as well as comedians Elf Lyons, Jen Brister, and Sarah Keyworth. The event aims to highlight the contributions of artists who enrich the cultural sector, offering joy, empathy, and economic value. Winners will be broadcast on Sky Arts, Freeview, and the streaming service NOW.
