National Balloon Rally Features Championship, Festivals, Multiple States

Several hot air balloon events are scheduled across the U.S. in late July 2025, offering family-friendly festivities and competitive races. The Clayton Chamber of Commerce will host the Balloons in the Islands Balloon Glow at Coyote Moon Vineyards on July 25, featuring live music, food vendors, and an admission fee per carload. The 25th annual Great Balloon Race in Galesburg, Illinois, will run from July 25-27, with mass ascensions, children's activities, and competitions like the Golf Ball Drop. In Louisiana, the 2025 Delta Utilities Red River Balloon Rally at Louisiana Downs Racetrack and Casino includes the Louisiana Ballooning State Championship with over 20 pilots, live tribute bands, tethered rides, fireworks, and a kids' fun zone. Meanwhile, the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic experienced grounded balloons due to fog but treated about 3,000 spectators to a spectacular tethered "glow show" and photo opportunities, with flights expected to resume the next day.
