Andrew Scott, an Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor known for his roles in 'Fleabag' and Netflix's 'Ripley,' has joined the cast of the upcoming legal thriller 'A Place in Hell,' alongside Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones. The film, written and directed by Chloe Domont, explores the high-stakes world of a top criminal defense attorney who often represents unlikeable clients and faces challenges when a new attorney joins her high-profile law firm. Financed by MRC and produced by T-Street, the legal thriller began filming in May 2025 in New York and New Jersey, with a planned release in 2026. This project follows Domont's feature directorial debut with 'Fair Play' in 2023 and involves production companies known for acclaimed works such as 'Knives Out' and 'Poker Face.' Scott, who has spoken about how acting helped him overcome a childhood speech impediment, will also star in the upcoming Netflix mystery 'Wake Up Dead Man.' The film is anticipated to delve into themes of ambition, loyalty, and ethical dilemmas within the legal profession.
