Three Wright-Patterson Personnel Killed in Ohio Murder-Suicide
Three Wright-Patterson Air Force Base personnel — 1st Lt. Jaime Gustitus, 25; Jaymee Prichard, 33; and Jacob Prichard, 34 — were found dead in an apparent murder‑suicide between the night of Oct. 24 and the morning of Oct. 25. Police say Jacob Prichard allegedly broke into Gustitus’s Sugarcreek Township apartment around 2 a.m. and killed her, and that at about 4:22 a.m. he drove to the West Milton Municipal Building, opened his car trunk where his wife Jaymee’s body was found and then shot himself; his death was captured on exterior security cameras. Investigators believe Jaymee was killed earlier and the location of her death is unclear. All three victims worked at Wright‑Patterson — Gustitus in the 711th Human Performance Wing, Jacob in the Air Force Research Laboratory and Jaymee in the Life Cycle Management Center. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations are leading a multi‑agency probe with assistance from local departments, and authorities have asked anyone with information to contact Miami County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jason Moore at 937-440-6085 ext. 3991. The Prichards leave behind three young children, and base leaders have offered condolences, counseling and casualty assistance as the investigation continues.
