Holyoke Drug Raids Yield Multi-Kilo Narcotics, Firearms, Three Arrests
In separate but related law enforcement operations in Holyoke, Massachusetts, authorities seized large quantities of narcotics and illegal firearms while arresting multiple suspects involved in drug trafficking. A search warrant executed at 41 Portland Street led to the arrest of Montel Harris, 30, and Tyron Harris, 26, with seizures including cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, two large-capacity firearms, and illegal magazines. Montel Harris faces numerous charges including trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine and fentanyl, firearm violations, and possession of large capacity feeding devices, while Tyron Harris faces similar drug and firearm-related charges. Separately, a search at 694 Dwight Street resulted in the arrest of Adiel Velez, 33, who was found with approximately 5,000 bags of heroin and fentanyl, cocaine, and nearly $7,000 in cash. These coordinated efforts by Holyoke Police, the DEA, Massachusetts State Police, and other agencies highlight an ongoing crackdown on drug distribution and gun violence in the area. Police Chief Brian Keenan emphasized the seriousness of these arrests in disrupting drug networks and reducing related firearm offenses in Holyoke.
