Coller Capital Expands Southeast Asia Presence with Singapore Office Opening

Coller Capital, a leading private market secondaries manager, has opened a new office in Singapore to cater to the increasing demand from institutional and private wealth investors in Southeast Asia. Peter Wu, formerly the global head of product control at Partners Group, has been appointed as the head of product management for private wealth, and he will oversee operations in Singapore alongside two local investor relations hires. This expansion marks Coller Capital's fifth office in the Asia Pacific region, following locations in Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, and Melbourne, as the firm aims to enhance its service offerings in a rapidly maturing market. The new office will focus on providing access to private equity and private credit secondaries markets through its recently launched Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions (PWSS) team. Jeremy Coller, the firm's chief investment officer, emphasized the growing opportunities in the Asia Pacific private capital market, with the firm managing $36 billion globally. The Singapore office will operate by marketing funds indirectly through licensed intermediaries such as private banks.
