Two Fires in Wilton and Stamford Cause Injuries
In Wilton, a person was hospitalized after jumping from a second-story window during a fire at the Wilton Crest condominium complex, which was contained to a single unit with no other residents inside. In a separate incident in Stamford, a man suffered life-threatening injuries after jumping from a window to escape a fire at a multi-family residence on Clinton Avenue. Stamford firefighters arrived within three minutes and controlled the fire within 20 minutes, preventing damage to adjacent units. The Stamford Fire Department highlighted the rapid response of 50 fire personnel, including five engine companies and two truck companies. Investigations into the causes of both fires are ongoing.
