Red Bull has completed a takeover of the Premiership Rugby club Newcastle Falcons, rebranding the team as Newcastle Red Bulls while keeping them at Kingston Park. Steve Diamond will remain as director of rugby, ensuring continuity as the club seeks to compete for trophies in the coming years. Red Bull plans to develop local rugby talent through an enhanced academy program and enhance the fan experience by applying their innovative approach from global sports initiatives. Premiership Rugby CEO Simon Massie-Taylor hailed the takeover as a landmark moment that will add value to both Newcastle and the league, emphasizing Red Bull's expertise in high-performance sports and marketing.
