Human Remains Found in Abandoned Storage Unit The Dalles Oregon

Human remains were discovered in an abandoned storage locker at a U-Haul facility in The Dalles, Oregon, after a person who purchased the unit reported finding a container that appeared to contain the remains. The Dalles Police Department responded promptly, securing the scene and involving the Columbia Gorge Major Crimes Team and the Mid-Columbia Major Crimes Team, with assistance from the Oregon State Police Crime Laboratory response team. A search warrant was executed, and the remains were recovered later that day. The Wasco County District Attorney was consulted during the investigation, which remains ongoing.
