Kentucky Church Shooting Leaves Two Dead
A tragic shooting at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, unfolded when 47-year-old Guy House, after shooting a Kentucky State Police trooper during a traffic stop, carjacked a vehicle and entered the church seeking the mother of his children. Upon learning she was not present, House fatally shot Beverly Gumm, 72, the pastor’s wife, and her daughter Christina Combs, 32, and critically injured Jerry Gumm, the pastor, and his son-in-law, Randy Combs. Responding police officers shot and killed House at the scene. The state trooper injured earlier was hospitalized in stable condition. Family described the victims as dedicated community servants known for their charity and compassion. The community remains in mourning as investigations continue.
