San Jose Police Arrest Four Teens for Gang-Motivated Park Vandalism
On January 5, 2025, four suspects, including two 18-year-olds named Donner Sosa and Michael Reyes and two juvenile males, vandalized and stole a city park sign at Nisich Park in San José while shouting gang-related threats. The San José Police Department's Gang Investigations Unit identified the suspects through open-source video evidence showing them cutting the sign with a handheld saw. Arrest warrants were obtained with the help of the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, and all four suspects were apprehended on May 1, 2025. Sosa and Reyes were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail, while the juveniles were placed in Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall, with all charged for gang-motivated vandalism and grand theft. Police are requesting anyone with additional information to contact Detective Minkel of the Gang Investigations Unit. These arrests represent a significant step in San José's efforts to combat gang-related crimes.
