House, Van Destroyed in Verified Arson Attack in Limavady
A house and a van were completely destroyed in a suspected arson attack on Seacoast Road near Limavady, County Londonderry, in the early hours of Sunday. Police believe the fire started when the van parked at the property was deliberately set alight, with the flames then spreading to the house. Emergency services responded promptly, with five fire engines working to bring the blaze under control by around 6 a.m. Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time, and no injuries were reported. The Police Service of Northern Ireland is treating the incident as arson and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage to assist in the investigation. Authorities have encouraged anyone with relevant information to contact detectives in Coleraine to aid their inquiries.
