Pokémon GO Adds Limited Gold Bottle Caps for Hyper Training

Pokémon GO is introducing Gold Bottle Caps and a new Hyper Training method that allow players to max out their Pokémon's individual values (IVs), a highly requested feature inspired by the main series games. Players can earn their first Gold Bottle Cap by completing the GO Pass Deluxe: Ancients Recovered, and once used, they have one year to complete Hyper Training tasks that improve Attack, Defense, and HP by bonding and adventuring with their Buddy Pokémon. This update aims to simplify the competitive aspect of Pokémon GO by removing the tedious process of catching multiple Pokémon to find perfect IVs, paralleling similar mechanics from main titles like Pokémon Sun and Moon and Scarlet and Violet. The introduction of Bottle Caps is expected to positively impact Pokémon GO's competitive scene, including the GO Battle League and the Pokémon World Championship divisions, by making it easier for players to optimize their teams. Niantic has yet to announce the official release date for Bottle Caps, but teasers suggest the feature will debut soon.
