9 Pagans Charged After Wawa Shootout Injures Six

On Oct. 17, nine members of the Pagans outlaw motorcycle gang allegedly pulled into the Wawa on West Main Street in West Norriton, surrounded two members of a rival “Unknown Bikers” group and tried to remove their “cuts,” touching off a brawl that turned to gunfire within minutes; investigators recovered about 14 shell casings. Six people were wounded, including two innocent bystanders — a man shot in the face while using an air pump and a woman shot in the torso near the store entrance — and several Pagans and one rival were also treated at area hospitals. The nine defendants — George Cwienk III, Joel Hernandez‑Martinez, George Hripto Jr., Jason Lawless, Manuel Baez‑Santos, Erik Dixon, Luke Higgins, Justin Noll and Erik Rosenberger — were arrested and charged with multiple counts including aggravated assault, riot, simple assault and recklessly endangering others. Magistrate arraignments set $500,000 cash bail for eight defendants and $50,000 unsecured bail for Justin Noll, who remains under medical care, and prosecutors say the case will proceed to a preliminary hearing in November. Authorities say the Pagans “initiated the aggression” by attempting to seize rival colors, and investigators continue to develop motive and other details as the Montgomery County district attorney pursues the charges.
