Stranger Things Animated Spinoff Footage Revealed

Netflix has revealed new details and first footage for 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85,' an animated spinoff set between seasons 2 and 3 of the original series and planned for release in 2026. The spinoff will feature the core characters plus newcomer Nikki, using a modern CG animation style inspired by retro cartoons and recent hits like 'Spider-Verse' and 'Arcane.' Early footage was showcased at the Annecy International Animation Festival, highlighting new monsters such as zombie pumpkins and snow sharks. It remains unclear if the original cast will return to voice their characters. The Duffer Brothers, Eric Robles, and other executive producers aim to blend 1980s nostalgia with new stakes and mysteries in Hawkins. Meanwhile, the live-action series' fifth and final season will air in three parts from November to December 2024.
