Tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams are launching a new video podcast this August exclusively on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and controlled by Elon Musk. The podcast will feature interviews with visionaries and creators, alongside the sisters' personal stories, authentic conversations, and playful banter, aiming to connect with fans in a fresh and direct way. Serena boasts over 10 million followers on X, while Venus has 1.6 million, making them among the platform's most prominent sports figures. Despite some celebrities leaving X due to concerns over its political climate, the Williams sisters' partnership marks a strategic move for X as it expands its original content and sports programming. The podcast will premiere first on X before becoming available on other audio platforms, produced in collaboration with Serena’s Nine Two Six Productions. X executives expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the sisters' global appeal and the platform’s momentum in video podcasting and sports content.
