Apple Releases Teaser for Wildfire Thriller The Lost Bus

Apple Original Films has released the teaser for The Lost Bus, a survival thriller set to premiere in select theaters and on Apple TV+ in fall 2025. The film stars Matthew McConaughey as a school bus driver and America Ferrera as a teacher who together fight to save 22 children trapped during California's 2018 Camp Fire. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Paul Greengrass, who co-wrote the script with Brad Ingelsby, the movie is based on Lizzie Johnson's book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, with Johnson serving as an executive producer. Jamie Lee Curtis brought the project to Blumhouse Productions after hearing Johnson’s story on NPR, with production handled by Blumhouse, Comet Pictures, and others. The Lost Bus is described as a tense, emotional story of quiet heroism and community survival in the face of one of America's deadliest wildfires. The film marks McConaughey's return to live-action after a six-year hiatus and features a supporting cast including Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson.
