Matthew McConaughey Stars In Camp Fire Rescue Drama

Apple TV+ has released the official teaser trailer for The Lost Bus, a survival drama directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matthew McConaughey as Kevin McCay, a school bus driver who heroically rescues 22 children and their teacher from the deadly 2018 Camp Fire in California. The film portrays the terrifying and chaotic evacuation amid the rapidly advancing wildfire that devastated Paradise, California, killing 86 people and burning over 150,000 acres. America Ferrera stars as Mary Ludwig, the teacher among those trapped, with the cast also including Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson. Co-written by Greengrass and Brad Ingelsby and based on Lizzie Johnson’s nonfiction book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, the film emphasizes themes of quiet heroism, community resilience, and human spirit in the face of disaster.
