Stephen King's The Institute Premieres July 13

MGM+ is set to premiere an eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King's 2019 novel 'The Institute' on July 13, 2025. The series stars Joe Freeman as Luke Ellis, a teen genius who is abducted and sent to a mysterious facility for children with extraordinary abilities, managed by Mary-Louise Parker's Ms. Sigsby. Ben Barnes plays Tim Jamieson, a former police officer whose journey becomes intertwined with the children. The drama focuses on the children's resilience and teamwork as they strive to escape captivity. Directed by Jack Bender and written by Benjamin Cavell, both Bender and Stephen King are executive producers. 'The Institute' is one of several Stephen King adaptations slated for release in 2025.
