Two Fatal Rollovers Kill Women in Indiana, California

Two fatal rollover crashes involving vehicle occupants being ejected occurred recently on major highways in different states. On Interstate 65 near Sellersburg, Indiana, 70-year-old Gloria Jean Jones of Indianapolis was ejected and killed after a pickup truck attempting to merge struck a sedan, causing both vehicles to lose control and spin into the median; the truck rolled over and came to rest in the southbound lane. The truck driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the sedan driver was uninjured, and traffic lanes were closed temporarily for investigation. Separately, in Burson, California, Kassidy Ketcherside, 38, died after her Honda Accord lost control at high speed, rolled over multiple times, and ejected her; she was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, with no current indication of alcohol or drugs involvement. These incidents highlight the dangers of high-speed maneuvers and the severe consequences of vehicle rollovers leading to ejections.
