Trevon Diggs Placed on IR; Wilson Ruled Out
The Dallas Cowboys placed All‑Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs on injured reserve Saturday, sidelining him at least four games after concussion symptoms tied to an Oct. 16 at‑home accident and lingering issues with his surgically repaired right knee. Team executives, including Stephen Jones, owner Jerry Jones and coach Brian Schottenheimer, characterized the move as a four‑game absence to allow Diggs to return to full practice readiness and said they expect him to return this season, though analysts note his recent injury history and contract context could prompt speculation Dallas may move on. Diggs missed the 44–24 loss at Denver, where Broncos QB Bo Nix threw four touchdown passes, and the Cowboys will turn to starters DaRon Bland and Kaiir Elam plus depth pieces Trikweze Bridges, Caelen Carson and elevated practice‑squader Corey Ballentine to stabilize the secondary. Safety Donovan Wilson is also ruled out and several other defensive backs are listed as questionable, compounding a weakened secondary that may require personnel or schematic adjustments. The IR move comes as teams across the league — and Dallas specifically — evaluate roster decisions with the Nov. 4 trade deadline approaching.
