LIV Golf Announces Landmark 2026 South Africa Event

LIV Golf has announced its first-ever tournament in Africa, scheduled for March 20-22, 2026, at Steyn City golf estate near Johannesburg, South Africa. This expansion establishes the Saudi-backed league's presence on five continents, with a commitment to a multi-year presence in South Africa. The event will feature Stinger GC, an all-South African team led by Louis Oosthuizen, and will also include participation from global stars such as Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, and Sergio Garcia. The tournament aims to boost golf tourism and the local economy, leveraging Steyn City's world-class facilities. It will use LIV Golf's distinctive 54-hole team and individual competition format, promising a new dynamic for South African sports fans. Early bird tickets for the event are already on sale.
