Triple J Reveals 2025 J Awards Nominees

Triple J has revealed nominees for the 2025 J Awards across five categories: Australian Album of the Year, Unearthed Artist of the Year, Double J Artist of the Year, Australian Music Video of the Year, and Australian Live Act of the Year, kicking off triple j’s Ausmusic Month programming. Album nominees include Baker Boy (DJANDJAY), Tame Impala (Deadbeat), Spacey Jane (If That Makes Sense), Folk Bitch Trio (Now Would Be A Good Time), ONEFOUR (Look At Me Now) and Mallrat (Light hit my face like a straight right). Unearthed nominees are Don West, Darcie Haven, Sam Alfred, Folk Bitch Trio and PLAYLUNCH, while the Double J Artist field features Amyl and the Sniffers, Paul Kelly, Gordi, Meg Washington and Emily Wurramara. Live nominees highlighted by triple j include Amyl and the Sniffers, Ball Park Music, Miss Kaninna and hardcore group SPEED, and Music Video contenders include Ninajirachi, RONA. and Ecca Vandal. Ausmusic Month will also feature the “triple j 50 tour” in Hobart, Newcastle, Adelaide, the Gold Coast and Torquay with acts such as Ninajirachi, Tkay Maidza and Mallrat; winners will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m. AEDT.
