House Freedom Caucus Plans National Prayer Call Against Political Violence, Shutdown

In response to escalating political violence and ongoing government challenges, several prayer events have been organized across the United States to seek spiritual guidance and unity. The House Freedom Caucus, alongside the Family Research Council, is hosting a national prayer call titled “Congress Prays for America,” aiming to unite lawmakers and citizens in prayer for peace, an end to political violence, and resolution of the government shutdown, with specific prayers for President Donald Trump, Congress, and peace in Israel. Similarly, a community gathering in Mt. Pleasant brought together nearly 40 residents, including current and former officeholders, to pray for local leaders, students, and public servants ahead of upcoming elections, emphasizing God’s guidance and protection against violence. Youth-led worship services, such as the one held by First Baptist Church of Moultrie, are engaging students in spiritual activities including devotions and praise, fostering a sense of community and faith among young people. These events reflect a growing movement to integrate prayer and faith into public and civic life as a means to address the nation’s spiritual and political crises.
