James Cameron is set to adapt Joe Abercrombie's dark fantasy novel, The Devils, into a film following the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash in December 2025. Cameron, who acquired the rights through his company Lightstorm Entertainment, will co-write the screenplay with Abercrombie and described the project as a fun and sharply witty horror adventure distinct from the morally conscious themes of his Avatar films.
