Federal authorities are investigating a suspicious elevated hunting stand or platform found in a tree with a direct line of sight to the Air Force One landing zone at Palm Beach International Airport before President Trump's recent arrival. The U.S. Secret Service said it discovered “items of interest,” shared a photo, reported no individuals present and that there was no impact to presidential movements. The FBI has taken the lead, flown in resources, collected forensic evidence, and deployed cellphone-analytics capabilities, and investigators have not yet linked the structure to any individual. Law-enforcement sources described the assembly as an odd arrangement of pipes that appeared to have been in place for months, and said investigators found no ammunition or explosives.
