London Marathon 2025: 87 World Records Expected, Kipchoge's Final Race

The 2025 London Marathon, scheduled for April 27, is set to break participation records with an estimated 56,000 runners and will feature an elite field including marathon legends Eliud Kipchoge, defending champion Alexander Mutiso, and debutant Jacob Kiplimo. Notably, British Special Olympics athlete Angus Leckonby aims to become the youngest and fastest man with an intellectual disability to complete a marathon. The marathon, starting in Greenwich and finishing near Buckingham Palace, highlights both world-class athleticism and widespread community engagement.
