Pregnant Woman, Man Die in Gary Murder-Suicide

Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide in Gary, Indiana, where 21-year-old pregnant woman Chasity Shorter was fatally shot and her death ruled a homicide. Her boyfriend, 21-year-old Brice Taylor of Hammond, was found dead nearby from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, with police concluding Taylor shot Shorter before killing himself. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Clark Road and was reported late Friday night. Police reviewed witness statements and surveillance footage, which supported their findings.
