Governor Josh Shapiro and U.S. Senator Dave McCormick will headline AI Horizons 2025, a two-day artificial intelligence summit set for September 11-12 at Bakery Square in Pittsburgh. The event aims to position Pittsburgh as a leader in 'Physical AI,' focusing on technologies that interact with the real world, such as robotics, autonomy, and embedded AI, leveraging the region's industrial heritage and research institutions. The summit will also feature tech executives from companies like Gecko Robotics and Skild AI, and will kick off with a startup competition awarding over $100,000 in prizes. This announcement follows the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University, where President Trump and corporate leaders announced more than $90 billion in private-sector investments in the state. Organizers hope the event will serve as a catalyst for innovation and highlight bipartisan leadership supporting AI development.
