Former Bucks County College VP Faces Criminal Mischief, Trespassing Charges
Albert F. McLaughlin, 47, a former interim vice president at Bucks County Community College, faces multiple criminal charges following incidents in early August. On August 2, McLaughlin was found in the basement of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, where he allegedly damaged the fire suppression system, causing over $8,000 in damages. The next day, he was accused of breaking into Central Bucks West High School, where he spent hours inside, stealing various items and accessing areas like the infirmary and shower. McLaughlin served as interim vice president for enrollment management from July 14 to August 7 before being placed on administrative leave and subsequently separated from the college. He was hired through standard procedures, including background checks, according to the college. McLaughlin, with a background in education administration and other industries, is currently held in Bucks County Correctional Facility on bail related to these charges, which include burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and trespassing.
