Liam Hemsworth Engaged; Proposed While Filming The Witcher

Liam Hemsworth, 35, is engaged to longtime girlfriend Gabriella Brooks, 29, after Brooks confirmed the news on Instagram in September with photos of her engagement ring. Hemsworth told Jimmy Fallon he proposed a few months ago while still shooting season 4 of Netflix's The Witcher — a production in which he replaced Henry Cavill — saying he bought the ring and waited for the right moment. On the Today show he called the news a "happy time in life," clarified the proposal did not occur during a recent Maldives vacation, and said the couple traveled there after he finished filming. The pair, first linked in December 2019, have kept their relationship largely private but made a joint red-carpet appearance at The Witcher season 4 premiere on October 23. This will be Hemsworth's second marriage; he was previously married to Miley Cyrus, and both he and Brooks have emphasized keeping their personal life private.
