College Football Hall of Fame 2026 Ballot Features 79 Players, 9 Coaches

The National Football Foundation has released the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, featuring notable nominees such as former Nebraska standout Ndamukong Suh, former Utah star Eric Weddle, and Texas A&M head coach Dennis Franchione. Suh, recognized for his exceptional senior season in 2009 where he was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and earned multiple defensive awards, is among 79 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision on the ballot. Eric Weddle, a consensus All-American and two-time Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year at Utah, also appears on the ballot; he went on to a successful 14-year NFL career, winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. Dennis Franchione, nominated as a coach, led Texas A&M from 2003-2007 with mixed results but also had successful tenures at New Mexico, TCU, and Alabama, finishing his coaching career with an overall record of 213-135-2. The 2026 Hall of Fame class will be announced early next year and inducted in Las Vegas on December 8, 2026. These nominees highlight the broad range of talent and leadership being recognized across college football.
