Sandra Vergara Joins Selling Sunset Season 9

Selling Sunset returned for season 9, which premiered Oct. 29, and following Nicole Young’s ouster the Oppenheim Group added newcomer Sandra Vergara as a rookie agent. Vergara — biologically Sofía Vergara’s first cousin and adopted by Sofía’s mother, making them adoptive sisters — has an entertainment background with credits including CSI, The Bold and the Beautiful and the film Fright Night. She joins the series midseason, appearing in episode 6, and is portrayed as bringing “new energy” while navigating office friction, notably with Chrishell Stause. Tension escalated when Chrishell’s assistant accused Vergara of keying the assistant’s car; Vergara has publicly and strongly denied the claim and pointed to a problematic neighbor as a possible culprit. Vergara says she is pursuing her own path in entertainment and real estate despite her famous last name and Sofía’s support.
