Cardiff City Signs Defender Gabriel Osho from Auxerre

Cardiff City have signed defender Gabriel Osho from French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old center-back, who previously played for Luton Town and was part of their promotion-winning squad to the Premier League in the 2022-23 season, returns to the English leagues after a season in France. Osho's move was influenced significantly by his positive relationship with Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy, with whom he previously worked during a loan spell at Rochdale. The signing marks Cardiff's second summer acquisition as the League One leaders seek to bolster their squad with experienced players. Osho has also been capped twice internationally for Nigeria and brings over 150 senior appearances to the Bluebirds. Manager Barry-Murphy has indicated that further signings are expected before the transfer window closes.
