Nude Intruder Charged, Security Audit at MN Capitol

Dominic Terrell Peace, 36, has been charged with felony second-degree burglary after being found naked inside the Minnesota State Capitol Senate chamber late Friday night, having allegedly used a wooden wedge to prop open a door and enter after hours. Peace, who was in an altered mental state and claimed to be the governor, underwent multiple mental health evaluations and was later detained on a Wisconsin warrant. Within 24 hours, he returned to Capitol grounds twice more, intensifying concerns about security, especially after recent violent incidents involving lawmakers. In response, Gov. Tim Walz has ordered an external security audit and is considering changes to better balance public access and protection.
