The launch follows President Trump's tariff threats against Apple and Samsung over manufacturing outside the U.S., positioning Trump Mobile as a patriotic alternative with U.S.-based customer service and phone production. Despite the branding and patriotic appeal, some critics suggest the service is more a commercial cash-in leveraging the Trump name rather than a serious competitor to established carriers.
