Supercomputer Predicts Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Champions League Chances
Ahead of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League season, Opta's supercomputer has predicted Liverpool as the top favorite to win the tournament, with a 20.4% chance according to 10,000 simulations. Liverpool also leads in probabilities of reaching the quarter-finals (72.7%), semi-finals (51.5%), and final (34%). Arsenal follows as the second favorite with a 16% chance of winning, backed by their consistent performances in the Premier League and recent Champions League runs. Paris Saint-Germain, the defending champions, hold a 12.1% chance, while other contenders like Manchester City and Barcelona are tied at 8.4%, with Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich also in the mix with lower odds. Tottenham, despite qualifying as Europa League winners, have a modest 1.1% chance to win, highlighting the competitive nature of this season's field. These projections underscore the strength of Premier League clubs in the competition, with Liverpool and Arsenal particularly favored to contend for European glory this year.
