West Virginia Man Extradited to Alabama on Child Sex Crimes Charges

Jackie Lee Adkins, a 67-year-old man previously residing in West Virginia, has been extradited to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, where he faces multiple charges including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, and sexual abuse of a child under 12. The investigation, led by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit with assistance from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia, began after a report of child sexual abuse surfaced, subsequently identifying three additional victims. Adkins was arrested in Boone County, West Virginia, following his indictment in Alabama, and is currently held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
