Kathryn Bigelow's Military Thriller 'A House of Dynamite' Premieres October Netflix, Theaters

Kathryn Bigelow, the Oscar-winning director known for films like The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, is set to return with a new political thriller titled A House of Dynamite. The film revolves around a crisis triggered by an unclaimed missile launch against the United States, prompting a tense race to identify the perpetrator and determine the appropriate response. Starring Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson as senior U.S. government officials, the ensemble cast also includes Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, and Kaitlyn Dever, among others. Written by Noah Oppenheim and co-produced by Bigelow, the film explores themes of political tension and national security. A House of Dynamite will have a limited theatrical release in early October 2025, followed by a Netflix streaming debut on October 24. This film marks Bigelow's first narrative feature since 2017's Detroit, continuing her focus on stories of conflict and power.
