€12M Recovered, Suspects Arrested in Lyon Robbery

Six masked robbers, some disguised as police and armed with military-grade weapons, used explosives and telescopic ladders to breach the Pourquery precious-metals laboratory in Lyon and load briefcases with gold. Authorities recovered about €12 million (roughly $13.8 million) in gold and seized assault rifles, handguns and explosives. Five of the facility's 28 employees were slightly injured and three were taken to hospital for checks.
