Two Men Charged With Murder After Sheffield Hit-and-Run Killing Teen

Two men, Zulkernain Ahmed, 20, and Amaan Ahmed, 26, have been charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder following a hit-and-run collision in Sheffield that killed 16-year-old Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi. Abdullah was walking along Staniforth Road in Darnall when a grey Audi collided first with an electric bike, injuring an 18-year-old rider, and then struck Abdullah, who died despite medical efforts. The driver of the Audi did not stop at the scene. Abdullah and his family had recently arrived from Yemen seeking safety and a better future, with relatives describing his excitement about learning English and starting school. Two other individuals remain on police bail on suspicion of assisting an offender. The accused men are set to appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court.
