Adrien Saddier secured his first DP World Tour title at the Italian Open, marking his 200th tour start with a remarkable back-nine surge to win by two strokes. Despite trailing Martin Couvra by three shots at the turn, Saddier birdied five of seven holes on the back nine to finish 14 under par with a final round 66. Couvra, the third-round leader, finished second at 12 under after a final round 69. Saddier, who debuted on the tour in 2014 and had last won professionally in 2016, described the victory as a long-awaited achievement after years of hard work and setbacks. Both French players earned spots at the upcoming Open Championship at Royal Portrush, with Scotland's Calum Hill and England's Dan Bradbury tying for third place.
