Tyler Perry's iconic character Madea returns in the new Netflix film "Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Destination Wedding," set to premiere on July 11, 2025. This marks the 20th anniversary of the Madea franchise, which began with 2005's Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and is Perry's 13th Madea movie and 30th film overall. The storyline follows Madea and her family as they travel to the Bahamas for the rushed wedding of Tiffany, the daughter of Brian and his ex-wife Debrah, who is engaged to a rapper she met on a yacht. The film promises a blend of comedy and drama with chaotic pre-wedding events and family dynamics, showcasing a tropical setting that brings fresh energy to the franchise.
