Ukraine Sustains Multi-night Drone Strikes Disrupting Russian Infrastructure, Moscow

Ukraine has intensified its use of long-range drones to strike deep inside Russia, targeting strategic infrastructure such as oil refineries, fuel depots, and military logistics hubs. These drone attacks have caused gasoline shortages in Russia and forced rationing in some regions, although the overall impact on refining capacity remains limited as most plants resume operations after attacks. Moscow has faced a sustained campaign of drone barrages, leading to temporary closures of its three busiest airports over multiple nights and exposing vulnerabilities in Russia's advanced air defenses against slow-moving drones. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled a large-scale Russian drone attack involving over 120 strike drones, shooting down the majority. Despite heavy Russian troop presence, particularly in the Donetsk region where Russia controls about 75%, Ukrainian forces continue to resist advances in key areas such as the town of Pokrovsk. The drone attacks represent a strategic effort by Ukraine to undermine Russia's war economy and bring the conflict closer to Russian territory.
