Tony Blair Advised to Repay for Clothes Discounts

The discounts, up to 60% from brands like Nicole Farhi and Paul Smith, prompted concerns among Downing Street officials about possible breaches of ministerial and MPs’ codes and negative public perception. Tony Blair was ultimately advised to repay over £7,000 to address the benefit received, while Cherie Blair was not required to repay as she was found not to have received preferential treatment.
